Dot grid paper

Paper printed with dots where grid lines would cross, instead of the lines themselves.

Also called: dot grid, dotted paper, dot paper

A lighter grid

Dot grid paper keeps the structure of graph paper but prints only a dot at each intersection. The page looks cleaner, while the dots still help you keep lines straight and spacing even. It is often used for bullet journals.

Spacing

Measure the horizontal or vertical distance from one dot’s center to its next neighbor. LEUCHTTURM1917’s dotted notebooks use 5 mm spacing; other sheets may differ. At that spacing, ten gaps cover 10 × 5 = 50 mm. Ten gaps have eleven dots, so count the spaces when checking a printout.

Choose the spacing for your drawing or writing, and print at actual size if the physical measurements matter.
